Chromebooks in my classroom will open up a world of possibilities for learning. Chromebooks are shareable, web-based devices that you can use to access the internet, enriching apps, and powerful extensions. With every lesson, I can deepen my students' understanding of topics. Students will be using the Chromebooks for typing essays using Google Classroom, completing Moby Max lessons, and taking daily progress monitoring tests using Xtra Math. I also have ELL students who will benefit from completing daily lessons using Imagine Learning.
Having easy access to technology in my classroom will keep my students engage, help close the achievement gap, and prepare them for their future careers. I changed schools this year and currently do not have any Chromebooks for students to use inside of my portable classroom.
My name is Julie Bickerton and I've been a teacher in Clark County School District for the past 21 years. I've never thought twice about purchasing materials for my students and classroom; however, this purchase is a big one and I'm asking for help! I've heard many success stories about this site and am so grateful that it was created. Thank you for taking the time to read about my project.
