I am returning to the classroom after 12 years working at the district-level as an Academic Technology coordinator and I need your help! Over the past 12 years I have had the opportunity to work with teachers, administrators and specialists...focusing on best practices that meet the needs of the 21st century learner...creating engaging teaching and learning opportunities. Now I'm returning to the classroom and I'm ready to put practice into play for my students!
Comfortable classrooms lead to a positive classroom community! "Flexible seating is becoming a key element in classroom design. All students do not learn in the same way, nor do they all learn best with traditional seating." (kidsdiscover.com)
Flexible seating options such as bean bags, floor cushions, cafe tables and stools are not only comfortable, BUT they allow for movement and flexibility as students move from learning activity to learning activity throughout our day!
These flexible seating options will not only be comfy as my students learn, BUT will also support my students as they incorporate 21st century skills such as COLLABORATION, CREATIVITY, CRITICAL THINKING and COMMUNICATION in our classroom!
