All kids should have a bike, even those with a disability. The students that will be utilizing this bike are students that spend a large majority of their time in a hospital, at doctor's appointments and confined to home due to medical vulnerability. On the days these students are feeling well enough, they deserve an opportunity to play outside alongside family and friends. The adaptive bike will give them this opportunity and provide hours worth of fun and joy while spending time with those he/she loves. It will create memories, provide therapy, improve strength and provide improved happiness and qualify of life. Thank you!
