I teach in the Inner City of Baltimore, filled with innovative, passionate, and energetic students. These students come from low income families and are constantly inundated with the lore of the streets calling out to them for a quick, easy, fast-paced incentive life, that in reality is a lie. Students have to constantly make the choice to come to school and pursue their education with their long-term dream in mind, and this is very hard to do.
