My third-grade class consists of 28 diverse students, many of whom come from underprivileged backgrounds and are English Language Learners. For many of them, this classroom is not just a place of learning—it’s a safe, stable environment and a second home. Our classroom functions like a close-knit family, where each child is supported, valued, and encouraged to grow academically and personally. I strive to create a nurturing space where students feel seen, heard, and empowered. Any funding from donors will go a long way in bringing in much-needed resources, such as technology, literacy materials, and tools that will brighten their daily experience and help them succeed in school and beyond.
