My students need a lot of materials to help them bridge the gaps that have come as a result of the COVID-19 Pandemic. The students I have were in Kindergarten when the Pandemic started. They have not had a "normal" school year thus far. However, they have done the best they can, with our limited resources, to overcome the challenges they have faced.
My students needs headphones for individualized educational programs. One of the results of the pandemic is that some students are ahead of others while others are struggling. The students also need legos to make math more enjoyable and help them visualize the concepts are learning. With whiteboards, they can easily show me their thinking during a math lesson. The chart paper and markers help me create anchor charts that the students can refer back to during their individual work time, since the class is in Spanish which is new to all of them.
