My Global Studies students are a diverse and typical group of tenth graders. There is no one particular group that dominates my rosters! Their families and cultures extend across the globe! We have students whose families come from China, Japan, India, Spain, Columbia, Mexico, El Salvador, Ghana, Egypt, Jamaica, England, and Australia! We attract students who are interested in social responsibility, international relations, and global issues that affect their future world. This delightful group of young people, many of whose older siblings have graduated from our program, select our small school because of its reputation for success. The "Sources of Wisdom" unit is one that my students have enjoyed for years, and I would like to continue it without having to purchase books from my own pocket, as I have done over the years.
