My class consists of 24 curious and voracious first grade readers in a high needs school. My students represent a wide range of ethnicities, and people from all walks of life. My classroom is a true representation of the diversity we see in our country. Our unique classroom makeup allows us to learn to be more accepting and to seek a better understanding of one another's cultures. My students are empathetic, and caring individuals who are well on their way to being open and uplifting citizens in a diverse world. My students love to learn and show a passion for learning about the world around them. They empower one another to learn more and reach for their dreams. By having such a diverse group of students, all of my students are able to envision what their future could be like and to work hard towards meeting their goals!
