The students at Skidmore-Tynan High School come from low-income households in which they receive free breakfast and free lunches. My students have special needs and need help to learn how to live independently. Every day tasks that we may accomplish on our own and think it may be easy...is actual a quite difficult task for my students.
This year, my class has been upgraded and will be able to go out into the community and gain real life job skills. Before they are able to go out to community businesses, the students must learn how to do some skills in the classroom first.
That is where yall come in! My classroom needs help getting a start on this new program and need supplies like, pencils, scissors, backpacks, paper, and kitchen supplies for cooking.
I want to help these kids families and put them at ease, so they won't have to worry about their student not living independently! Please help!
