We have a very small rug in our classroom. The students typically don't sit on the current rug because it is old and falling apart. I would like to get a new rug so students feel comfortable picking that spot when they read, listen to a lesson, or work on their projects.
This new rug will improve the classroom environment and give my students an additional choice of seating. I know that a new rug may seem not necessary, but to my students, it will make a BIG difference. When they pick a spot, they go to the small new rug I recently purchased. By giving students flexible seating, I have noticed a higher level of engagement. I can't wait to add a new and improved rug to my class. I know my students will love it!
