These materials will help allow students to move around the room in a comfortable way while working collaboratively. With alternative seating, students will be able to collaborate in different locations while working comfortably.
The different materials will help student engagement by letting them create and apply their skills in a real-world context. Further, many of the materials help the students to express their thoughts, ideas, and skills in different creative ways. The materials will allow students to create posters, skits, charts, models, games, and presentations to display their knowledge in alternative, nontraditional, ways that promote higher-level thinking skills that are used in the real-world.
