My students enjoy learning new and exciting concepts in math. It is necessary for my students to have a hands-on and visual approach to learning. With these materials, my students can manipulate and interact with their peers in order to learn!
A hands-on approach to learning math will give my students that extra boost to assist in mastering math standards. The math concepts that they learn require deep thought and the ability to show what they know. These tools can help them understand the content with a more creative approach.
Overall, these materials will serve as great tools for my students to utilize year round. The requested items could help tremendously with number identification, fractions, addition and subtraction, and place value. These are all concepts that are taught and reinforced throughout the school year. The interactive place value chart can help my students visualize what numbers mean "behind the scenes." The counting tools can assist with tactile learning and physically counting objects to obtain a better understanding of numbers. My students that need assistance with number identification can benefit greatly from the magnetic numbers.
These items would be greatly appreciated by our class to further their learning capabilities!
