Getting teens reading and KEEPING them reading requires a diverse classroom library. If students have to go somewhere to buy or borrow books, having a sustained reading program is such a challenge. Luckily, they have a crazy Language Arts teacher like myself, because having a well-stocked classroom library is my passion. Why? Because 15 years of teaching has shown me that if I have the right books, I can get students reading. Word spreads about how good a book is, and then the copies transfer from teen hands (and hearts) over and over again... And with all the reading they'll be required to do in high school and beyond, isn't that a great gift, to be be able to help them build their reading stamina with books they enjoy? I truly thank you for your generosity and help adding fuel to my students' love of reading. These classroom library books will be enjoyed for years to come. Thank you!!!
