I plan to set up several different flexible seating areas around my classroom. I want to try and meet as many different learning styles as I possibly can to make my students successful.
Giving children flexible seating options allows them to do two things: allowing them to be in control of their own learning and enhancing their learning process through physical movement.
Some students prefer to be stable, while others prefer to lay on the ground, some want to wiggle their legs around, or sit with their feet in the chairs. As long as they are accountable for their learning, how they sit should not matter. My goal is to create a classroom where my students comfort comes first, so learning comes naturally.
