My school, a shared-time career and technology center, serves students from four area high schools from rural areas. I teach tenth, eleventh, and twelfth grade students in our Marketing Program. Courses include Digital Multimedia, Marketing, Digital Media Marketing, Entrepreneurship, and Web Design. Most of my students plan to pursue college or careers in business. I am fortunate to be able to build relationships with my students as I teach them in a three-year cohort program (10th, 11th, and 12th grade). As a Technology Centers That Work school, we have integrated literacy and numeracy throughout our school. Our current focus is on project-based learning and the development of 21st century skills of collaboration, communication, creativity, and critical thinking. These skills will ensure that students are college and career ready!

About my class
