After 20 years of teaching I still get all hyped up in anticipation of meeting new faces and working with eager minds. I look forward to thinking of new ideas and researching to find something that gets my students excited about coming to my class everyday. Most of my students are of Hispanic descent. My school services about 550 students in an urban community in S. Florida. Many of the students in my class have been exited or are still considered in need of services of English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL). Even with the special needs of these students and others I service that may have learning disabilities, I still like to treat each child as if he/she were gifted. I love to do projects, experiments, and anything that involves letting creative minds go to work. No matter what the level, every child should be given a chance to allow their creativity to blossom.
