I would love to give my students a variety of seating choices to use throughout their day. Each table and learning area will have a different choice of seating, which will include cube chairs, soft seats at a lowered table, bouncy bands on a set of chairs and wobble seats. They will get a chance to find a good fit for them. By seeing what seating choices that the children make, I will learn more on how they learn. This new arrangement will decrease behavioral problems in my classroom because the children will be able to choose seating that will help them feel comfortable.
Children will become more alert and focused during the time that they are in my classroom. At this young age, children are not able to sit still in chairs or small places for too long. These options will give them a way to gain some control and at the same time, be more productive during the school day.
