I have an amazing group of bright and curious second grade students. I am amazed everyday by their love and excitement for learning. Second grade is a special year as the students are working to build on the foundational knowledge they gained in first grade. In second grade students become more experienced mathematicians, readers, writers, scientists and more. They are enthralled with the opportunity to read longer and more challenging texts, become authors, and persevere to solve any problems they may face. Second grade is such an important year because students grow stronger every day. Our favorite thing to say in class is that second graders grow like beanstalks! With your help my students will be able to grow in all areas. Any help you can provide to this classroom of inquisitive second graders would be immensely helpful. Thank you for your support!
