My classroom is comprised of 30 eager learners of all types. We are located in the socio-economically disadvantaged area of South LA. I, myself, reside in Reseda but I commute to this area to help learners from backgrounds such as mine. I was born and raised in the public housing projects of Chicago, Il. Like myself, my students live within communities plagued with gang, drugs and violence. It took a lot for me to make it out of my environment, physically and mentally. My students are actively facing similar challenges. it is my goal to provide them with a classroom environment and learning experience that stokes their creative fires, while making them feel safe and daring them to dream. We are grateful for what we have and even more for what we receive.
