Google has created a free program call Science Journal. In Science Journal, students are able to use the various tools, such as an accelerometer, magnetometer, sound intensity, etc. to conduct experiments and labs. Students are able to record and document their work allowing them collaborate and share. Students will see themselves as scientists because they will be completing authentic scientific investigations using real tools. The iPads will also be used to access the multitude of online apps and resources available to help students make connections to science and the world. Making videos of their projects, creating websites, and FaceTiming with other students around the world are just some of the many possible uses my students can do with the iPads.
