My students are hilarious. They enjoy joking around and having fun--yet they know when it's time to focus. The students are a group of about 150 6th-8th graders. They start Japanese in the 6th grade and learn it until the 12th grade (and hopefully longer!). Most of my students live below the poverty line in the area and most of them receive free or reduced lunches. The Japanese students at my school love being active. Despite the difficulty of Japanese, my students are able to keep up and get very excited when they get the opportunity to play games. Most of my students look forward to someday going to Japan in the latter years of their high school careers.
