Welcome! Good day! I am a high school Math teacher with an accelerated high school program. My students come from low income communities and have little to no family support, not to mention they are usually supporting themselves and frequently their families including their own children. They are 2 years or more behind their peers academically, and 2 years or more older.
I teach them all 4 math courses for the program and planning for 4 preps is a definite challenge. Most of my students come to me believing they are 'too stupid' to be successful in math. Well, I know better. They are amazing people and students. My job is to change their mindset and together we work hard to make that happen. After all, you can accomplish miracles with effort and perseverance. I love teaching.
