This is the 10th year of our school and some of our durable supplies need replacement. My students are hard working and passionate. They each filled out an application to become part of Melva Davis Academy of Excellence, a public parent choice school. District-wide we have an average of 87% free and reduced lunch students, so student's don't come to school with many supplies of their own. I strive to provide a welcoming and exciting learning environment where student's have all they need to succeed. I provide students with everything from pencils and paper, to technology based engaging lessons. Unfortunately I have had an issue this year with students borrowing art supplies and forgetting to return them, and we no longer have a full class set of art supplies. I love doing doodle notes, but many students need class provided color pencils to get creative.
