The materials that I have selected are geared to provide my students with fun and creative ways to learn. This past year has been hard on our students both emotionally and academically. As teachers, we are developing creative ways to help students learn more now than ever. These materials, especially the engineering centers, will provide a time for creativity, learning and expression.
By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, but you will also ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. The STEM centers that were selected tie into our planners and provide a great way to promote Nevada Adademic Content Standards through hands on learning. Students will learn science, reading and writing all while collaborating with classmates. The phonics and comprehension packets will be used in small groups setting as well as centers to provide a wide range of learning engagement for every type of learner.
By implementing these centers, my students will begin to see themselves as true creators, writers, and engaged learners. As a teacher, I can not wait to see their involvement and growth!
