At our middle school we have over 250 students in our music program this year. The students are ready to begin to play at this point in the year, but the reeds for our wind instruments desperately need to be replaced. These new reeds will bring back to life these aging instruments and provide each of the wind students with a clean/new reed that is theirs to use for the year. As small as this may seem, these little touches excite the kids and help them stay vested in their learning. Our program does evening performances for our parents, students and staff. Our band plays at our assemblies and other school events. We want our students to have as much musical exposure and experience as possible, so that they can continue through high school and beyond.

About my class
