This year we are focusing on adding project-based learning and STEM projects. I would like to add flexible seating and work tables to our classroom to make it easier for students to collaborate. For example, we recently studied plants in science and then created plants with moving parts. Big tables would allow for better ease in working together on big projects, while flexible seating would offer students more comfortable options, including bean bag seats and a futon, which would better meet their individual needs.
I want to provide my students with a warm, inviting space to work and study. I want my classroom to mimic a comfortable home atmosphere. School should be a place where students enjoy learning.
