I teach high-school and post secondary Autism students in a specialized school setting for the students most affected. All of my students are nonverbal communicators. At any time, I have 6-8 learners working on job skills, life skills, and leisure skills with me. We work hard and party hard- we love celebrating birthdays, fitness time, and making group projects together. Last fall, we all worked on a 'from scratch' pumpkin pie and received so many compliments on the taste and smell. Over 50% of my students are ELL and all of them qualify for free and reduced lunch. They are truly the best bunch of young men you'll ever meet- and we are so grateful for the donations towards fun and exciting activities that further their opportunities and quality of life.
