At-risk youth face a unique set of challenges that significantly impact their ability to succeed in school and beyond. Many of these students struggle with retention, putting them at high risk of not graduating due to factors such as unstable housing, financial hardship, family responsibilities, and limited access to academic support. To truly support these students, it is essential to go beyond academics by providing tangible resources—such as school supplies, transportation assistance, access to meals, mental health services, and mentorship programs—that not only ease their educational journey but also help boost their morale and self-confidence. By addressing both their academic and personal needs, we can empower these young individuals to not only stay in school but to thrive and build a stronger foundation for their future.
