One of my goals as a high school English teacher is to create spaces for my students to feel comfortable taking risks, voicing their opinions, and developing ideas. With this new cell phone policy, we are focusing even more on making sure students have spaces to engage, relax, and relate to each other. I have large class sizes of students from diverse backgrounds, interests, and abilities. They are eager to learn and benefit from all types of support from teachers, community members, and support staff.
