I have chosen some wobble seat or floor cushions, stools, wobble chairs, hand fidgets, and a string of softer lights to hang in my classroom. My plan is to allow students to choose flexible seating options at their desks, and provide a variety work spaces around the room during independently work time.
I want to enable students with the responsibility and self-regulation skills to use these effectively. I acknowledge that most of them need more than the traditional classroom chair throughout the day to help them stay focused. My hope is to teach students how to use what tools they need, when they need them, in order to help them be as successful as possible.
About my class
