The HP laptop computers will enable my students to have greater access to online math programs that greatly enhance their skills. These laptop computers will also allow my students to engage in more project-based learning.
Project-based learning allows students to make connections between math content and real world applications. Students will be challenged to use what they have learned to solve real world problems. For example, they could design the most space-efficient garden plot or decide which pool floats are the best value for a holiday resort to purchase.
As part of their project, they could learn to use programs such as Power Point to create a presentation of their work and present it to their peers.
