Using technology in the classroom is a great way to engage students and to differentiate learning. Just putting a technological device in front of a child increases their interest in whatever it is you want them to do. Our new language arts curriculum has many pieces that are on-line, and our limited amount of time in the computer lab only allows us small bits of time to access these materials. There are great sites that support our social studies and science standards, that we would be able to explore if we had Chromebooks in our classroom.
Your donations to this project will not only engage my students, but will allow for many ways to differentiate instruction for the varied learners and levels in my classroom.
The possibilities for differentiation are endless. Some students are ready to do deeper research on a topic of their interest to create a research project or to do a presentation for the class. Some students need to review or learn below grade level material. Some students need to memorize their multiplication facts to improve their math performance or focus on multi-step problem solving. Chromebooks, right in the classroom, allow for the chance to have students focus specifically on what they need. Please donate to this project to ensure that the individual needs of my students can be met appropriately and that my students are engaged.
