My 3rd graders will participate for the first time in a room transformation as a review for reading topics covered throughout the year. The theme of this transformation will be neon to help the kids stay engaged in the reading lesson. In the past I have transformed my room to mimic a camp out where students completed reading tasks in stations to review for their test.
The black tarps and hooks will be to black out the room to make the neon colors pop. The black lights and glow sticks help with a fun way to view reading material and enhance student interaction. Students will use the highlighters to mark evidence throughout reading material.
