A moving brain is a learning brain, and no one needs to (and loves to) move around more than my first graders! Working with these little humans day in and day out, I've realized how important it is to provide them with opportunities that will help them understand who they are as learners and what will help them succeed in an academic setting. The WOBBLE Chairs will help my students keep focused on their work while allowing others around them to do the same. The portable laptop desks targets those students who aren’t so comfortable sitting at a desk and crave the freedom to move around the room in order to truly focus. The exercise balls will work wonders for students who need to constantly be moving because they’ll have the ability to do so with out being noisy. Lastly, the stability disks will offer students the ability to move about the classroom until they find a space that helps them feel at ease and ready to do their best work.
All of these flexible seating options will help my students test out different seating styles until they find the optimal learning style for them. By implementing flexible seating, my first graders will be able to exercise the power of choice and work to their full potential!
