My kindergarten students have this amazing love for learning, laughing and keeping their brains strong. We chant "NO MUSHY BRAINS" every morning and, indeed, we leave smarter than we arrived! I've been teaching for 14 years and I learn new things every day about children and education and the human spirit. Many of my students live each day with extraordinary challenges, yet they come each day excited about school. Our school has a rate of more than 90% free/reduced lunch and more than 75% of our students are English Language Learners.
