I teach Algebra 1 to the outstanding 9th grade students at Lanier High School in Jackson, Mississippi. Our Title I school is home to bright learners, forward thinkers, and thoughtful peers. Lanier's pride runs deep, and our school's history runs deeper. Legacies are constructed daily on Maple Street-- which is the standard we set here at #833Nation. At Lanier, we vow that #Every1GraduatesCollegeorCareerReady. Our classroom prioritizes a positive mindset as well as real-world applications, dispelling the notion that Algebra has to be a difficult and irrelevant in today's society. We use multiple resources and activities to make sure every scholar can learn and accelerate. Our classroom is a safe space that breeds confidence in Mathematics and collaboration. Above all, our class is a welcoming space for *everyone*!
