In order to compete in an ever-changing world, our students are in need of more direct access to even the most basic technology, books, and other school supplies. As they move on from elementary to middle school, the expectation that they will be able to independently perform tasks on a daily basis will only increase. By fundraising for these basic necessities, the hope is that we will eventually achieve equal access for all students to become more comfortable meeting the demands of the 21st century and become more college and career ready.
Our school is the 10th most diverse elementary school in Massachusetts out of over 1000 schools.
In addition, out of more than 900 students, at least 62% qualify for free and reduced price lunch. Students in our class, this year and in years to come, would greatly benefit from more accessibility in the classroom. Thank you so much for your help!
