These materials will allow students to complete assignments despite personal circumstances. Materials such as protractors and compasses allow students to complete math homework. Colored pencils allow them to complete maps, art or science assignments.
Students will be able to enter the classroom and leave behind outside factors and defeat roadblocks that stand in the way of growth and learning. When students are given materials to use for practice and completing assignments, they have more motivation to grow. Removing this simple barrier allows students to put aside outside factors and know that this room is a place of learning.
These students have a desire to learn, but need help removing the roadblocks that stand in the way such as income, home-life or environment from other places.
