Breakout EDU creates ultra-engaging learning games for people of all ages. Games (Breakouts) teach teamwork, problem-solving, critical thinking, and troubleshooting by presenting participants with challenges that ignite their natural drive to problem-solve. Each kit comes with a collection of locks, hidden contraptions, timers, keys, and other “diversion hardware” that can be used to play the Breakout challenges. Once the Breakout Kit is assembled, students are invited into the room and have to use their content knowledge to solve a series of challenges, riddles, and mysteries. All games are aligned to the standards used in all content areas.
Thus, these kits will help my students work collaboratively and use appropriate social skills to reinforce the information they are learning across all content areas. During small group interventions, my students with disabilities will practice the academic skills they have learned in class in an engaging way. Additionally, these kits will be available for use in the general education classroom to encourage engagement for all learners. I want to make my lessons more exciting and engaging for students while increasing their critical thinking and problem-solving skills and Breakout EDU is the way to do it!
