I want my students to live their best life and that means that having a sense of independence and industry. These items will give my students a way to learn independent living and job skills in my classroom.
Many of my students can achieve a high level of independence, but they need direct instruction on every day tasks. We'll learn how to set a table, prepare a meal and wash the dishes, as well as separate, wash, dry and fold laundry. A mini fridge will allow me to use a wider variety of ingredients when teaching my students how to prepare a healthy meal or snack for themselves.
