My class is the third grade ESL/bi-lingual classroom. I am the general education teacher and I have a bi-lingual teacher that pushes in for math and a ESL teacher who pushes in for Language Arts. Our students are a very diverse group located in an urban area. They come from a variety of different backgrounds. About 75 percent our class are economically disadvantaged. They are energetic and eager to learn. Although, they try to strive their very best, some are faced with many challenges on a daily basis. However, despite the challenges, they are a special group of young learners that are curious about the world around them and ready to explore it.
