My students are hard working, energetic students who do not come from the most affluent families in town. Most of my students receive free or reduced lunch and struggle to bring in the most basic of classroom supplies. They come from very diverse backgrounds and even speak a few different languages. I believe they thrive on the bond they have made in here this year and strive to be the best class in the school both academically and behavior wise.
The school is a large school, over 600 elementary students, and the majority of them are on free and reduced lunch. I have a inclusion room, which means that there are special needs students learning right next to my general education students. It works very well, because true understanding comes when you can help someone else understand it too.
