My students come from an array of social, cultural and economic backgrounds. 54% of my students come from minority backgrounds and more than 50% of them qualify for free or reduced price lunch. Their diverse background means that they don't all come to the classroom with the same knowledge and experiences. It is my job to ensure that all my students, regardless of their background, engage in enriching, educational experiences while in my classroom.
