I would love to try and explore the meaning a challenging word problem with students in a more colorful and comfortable setting. I feel this will take away some anxiety of not feeling like they are being quizzed or tested, but rather have a way to express what they think about a task among their peers without judgement. I know my kids will benefit from being able to grow in a classroom that has a little twist. Our students are growing and changing, but most classrooms still want to approach teaching as if teaching isn't constantly growing and changing. I truly feel that students can learn from teaching each other and being comfortable classroom that offers a clear space to think is the first step.
