As mentioned in the bio about my learners, they are coming to the classroom with stress. Lots and lots of stress. They come in angry, frustrated, tired, annoyed, and aggressive. With these resources, we will be able to validate those feelings, and redirect them into creating a positive learning environment.
The emotions demonstrated in the classroom can be disruptive and prevent a safe an welcoming learning environment. My goal with these resources is to help my learners manage their emotions and respond to them in a healthy manner. The books listed will help us learn how to respond to less desirable situations calmly and appropriately. We will learn to express ourselves, our wants, and our needs in a way that communicates rather than demands.
