Projects in my art class are fun and creative. These materials will help my students find new opportunities and widen their creativity. Cutting in my classroom is something we do almost every day. I chose a Cricut to help in the process. Some of the projects that I have students do, need pre-cut pieces or very defined pieces, and I like to help my students with some of these things, but when I have 600 students sometimes it is just impossible.
Colored pencils was something I debated on getting for a while, but some of my students need them in their lives (4th and 5th). As I studied some of the art work over the past few months, I noticed a lot of the work was a little rough. It dawned on me, that colored pencils would have worked even better for some of these projects, instead of just used crayons without tips. Also, paint is something I use for a lot of projects and students love it! Cleaning an art room after each class leaves is a workout! I enjoy these cakes because I do not have to worry about miss-used paint (most of the time) and they are not messy.
Lastly, I am very excited about the air dry clay, this item is something that is new to my students and I can't wait for them to use it! This item is not something I would purchase regularly, especially since it is a one time use sort of thing. Being that it is almost the end of the year, I wanted them to try something new!
