With budget cuts, it is not feasible for my classroom to have an interactive whiteboard purchased for my classroom. I found the need to think outside the box, and I'm REALLY excited to say that I have found a better solution. An iPad Pro (with the large writing surface) can be hooked wirelessly to my teacher computer with a program called Air Server). I am able to walk around the classroom and project to the whiteboard at the SAME TIME! I can have students "write on the board." I can show videos, record the lesson and access the internet from ANYWHERE in the room. This is the most exciting use of technology in the classroom that I've found. The students will be able to more actively interact with the presenter (student or teacher) as they use the iPad while walking around the room. The students will be able to draw on the board in the middle of a lesson. For instance, students could easily complete math problems to show understanding as the teacher was walking past.
