Students will tour bird, fish, and reptile exhibits to learn the importance of having wildlife refuges. As San Diego residents, our students want to learn more about the natural resources and species that are native to the area. I have students that love to be around animals and want to learn about the things they can do to help preserve the beautiful nature that is surrounds us.
This project will cover the cost of transportation to Living Coast.
I want to help our students be more thoughtful when interacting with nature and animals. They need to see and understand the causes and effects that humans have on the wildlife in their environment. I hope that this trip will add to their foundational knowledge of nature as well as challenge and validate their present beliefs about animals, nature and the relationship of both to humans.
