I would like to provide my students with five Chromebooks so that they can utilize technology in our math classroom. Mathematics classrooms must reflect the reality that technology is embedded in our daily lives. No longer can they be just simply a paper and pencil classroom. Through the use of these Chromebooks, I hope to engage students in tasks that promote their learning and their ability to make sense of math.
The National Council of Teachers of Mathematics argues that 鈥渁n excellent mathematics program integrates the use of mathematical tools and technology as essential resources to help students learn and make sense of mathematical ideas, reason mathematically, and communicate their mathematical thinking.鈥
