Flexible seating allows for student choice and gives control back to the students. This project will help students feel more confident and allow for them to focus on learning with their peers. During focused learning activities, my students will be able to choose a spot in the classroom that will help them be successful.
Currently, my students have lap desks, floor tables, traditional tables and chairs, standing tables and wobble seats. This year, I plan to add floor cushions and exercise balls to continue to add choice for my kindergarten students.
I will have roughly twenty students this year that will benifit from this project.
